CALS/EC, at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, has entered into
the implementation phase with the start of Public works Procurement Information
service (PPI) provision as well as electronic bidding and electronic delivery
in FY 2001. According to the Local Promotion Action Program released in June 2001,
local governments are now working on CALS/EC introduction in conjunction with
IT strategy. A place to gather information on technology or products related to
CALS/EC and construction IT is needed by local governments and construction-related
companies. In such an environment, Japan Construction Information Center (JACIC)
and Service Center Of Port Engineering (SCOPE) planned to hold the "CALS/EC MESSE
2002", an exhibition aiming to promote CALS/EC introduction at local governments
and to spread IT within the construction field. We want you to know the purport
of this event. We hope you can come and join us. |
